Melanie grew up in the Coromandel before moving to Hamilton to attend the University of Waikato obtaining a Bachelor of Social Sciences with a double major in Psychology and Education.

After University she lived and worked in Australia for two years, temping for the likes of IBM and Fairfax Publishing before moving back to New Zealand and taking on several EA/PA roles for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Fonterra and Farmers. Following a short-term temping position with Colliers International she was offered a permanent role in their Commercial & Metro Sales team where she stayed for several years before moving into the Colliers marketing team as a Marketing Executive.

Following a redundancy she began with recruitment company Debbie Graham & Associates as PA to the Director, a role which over the years evolved into that of EA/Office Manager.

Her final year in Auckland was spent heading the admin team for another real estate firm, Barfoot & Thompson before she made the move back to the Coromandel, marrying her husband Paul and together buying their dream property, a 22 acre lifestyle block in Hikuai.

As Head Office Administrator for Richardson Real Estate this is her third position within the real estate, an industry she enjoys immensely.
