Approximately 1 hour from Auckland and half an hour from Thames and Pukekohe, Kaiaua is a much loved stopover for the discerning traveler. Kaiaua features world renowned Chenier shell banks and is also a temporary home to a large variety of migratory birds including the Wrybil.

The mineral hot springs at Miranda are not far down the road so you can relax there before enjoying the well known Kaiaua fish and chips while overlooking the Firth of Thames. Entertain the children on the "pirate playground" with its very own "pirate ship"!
